Blackwood Clinic is a private billing practice. This allows us to maintain our high standard of care.
Our common fee schedule is available at reception upon request or alternately in the "Common Fees" section of our website.
Payment in full is expected at the completion of your appointment. We now can pay your rebate straight back
payments. Payment is
made in full at end of
your consultation and
then we can transfer
Medicare rebates back into a selected cheque
or savings account on
the spot using your
EFTPOS card. Funds
are then transferred into
your selected account
Children 15 years or younger will be provided with bulk billing services.
DVA, Pension and Health Care:
DVA, Pension, Commonwealth Seniors and Health Care Card Holders will be bulk billed upon presentation of a valid card under normal circumstances. Please note however specialised treatments and procedures eg excisions, implants etc will attract a gap payment.
Home visits are available depending on clinic bookings and doctor availability, however it is much more efficient to examine patients in the consulting rooms and we encourage patients to attend the clinic if possible.
Home visits attract a gap fee based on individual circumstances and is at the discretion of the consulting doctor.
Repeat Referrals & Prescriptions:
Repeat Referrals and Prescriptions require a standard consultation. This is best practice and allows the GP time to review the patient and update the patients' health record.
Please note that it is the patients responsibility to make sure they have a valid referral BEFORE making an appointment with a specialist. By law our doctors are unable to back date referrals.
Reports & Medicals:
Reports and Medicals are not covered by Medicare and the account is the responsibilty of the patient. Fees are charged according to the complexity of the report requested and time required. Refer to our Common Fee Section for a guide.
Non Attendance & Cancellations:
Our appointments are precious! Practice policy is 4 hours notice to changes or cancellations of appointments or a fee of $50 will be applied.
Cash, Credit Card or Eftpos accepted (Nil AMEX or Diners) We now can pay your rebate straight back through TYRO payments. Payment is made in full at end of your consultation and then we can transfer the Medicare rebates back into an account of your choice (cheque or savings) on the spot using your EFTPOS card. Funds are then transferred into your selected account (all within 15 seconds).
